Camping on the Barrier Islands

Calico Jack's Ferry will deliver tent campers to a variety of destinations around the Cape Lookout Bight. Passengers with camping gear should visit the pricing page to review ferry rates. Also, per passenger pricing with camping gear is based on ferry rides to the Cape Lookout Lighthouse or the East end of Shackleford Banks. Park Service Information

There are no established campgrounds or campsites on Core or Shackleford Banks, and the few available water pumps and restrooms are widely dispersed within the park's boundaries. Also, the water supply is unreliable - bring everything you need for your trip, and take all trash when you leave. The park service allows stays for up to 14 consecutive days.
