Cape Lookout Ferry Terminal
gateway to the cape lookout Lighthouse
Surf fishing is a popular outdoor activity in North Carolina, and the Cape Lookout National Seashore is an excellent fishing destination. The limited access to Core and Shackleford Banks provides plenty of open beach to setup surf fishing rigs. In fact, the only places that might hold more than a few fisherman are around the Rock Jetty and at Cape Point on the tip of the outer banks.
For information about fishing regulations, seasons, size limits and licensing requirements, please visit the North Carolina Division of Marine Fisheries.
